SHOP UPDATE

The Winter Shop Update

Thursday December 18th at 12noon CST 

(1pm Eastern, 11am Mountain, 10am Pacific)

Come see all the goods on Thursday! There are so many new pieces in the works... but because we've had so many dark days in a row here in Minneapolis, I haven't had much of a chance to take any photos. The light has been less than optimal, so you'll have to wait to see what will be! If the sun shines, or a least we have a bit brighter day tomorrow I'll make a couple photos of more pieces becoming... there's a whole lot on the work table today. XXJM

slowly but surely

It's not fast, but it's happening. I stayed up extra late last night, with Christmas music on (yeah, I'm a total softy when it comes to Christmas- kinda can't get enough) and a big cup of warm tea, and I worked. It got late, and I wasn't sprightly this morning when my children were up at 6am, but it was really fun. The best part? This guy was here in the studio to greet me this morning along with a whole bunch of new things in the works... A good night indeed.

Small Business Saturday!

hello Turkey.

These two fine feathered friends, ridiculous and sweet, are ready for the Thanksgiving Feast.

Robert, a friend, collector, and maker of things, requested a few of these happen again this year. His turkey from way back in 2011, needed a lady friend. And so it goes: more turkeys. Every time I make these they make me laugh. They're so ridiculous they become altogether charming. These two are looking for homes. You'll find them in the shop today.

PS: I just realized I forgot to put they're bow on... ok, that's got to happen before they jump into boxes. hahah.

Two New-

These two turkeys on my windowsill will be in the shop tomorrow! Just in time...

I love how weird and funny these guys are. She's got a bonnet, top hats are in the works, and two other colors are happening now... the turkey feast is just around the corner. Let's be ready.

the Evening Workshop opens for the season!

 

It's been a long time, far too long since I posted here. I don't expect many of you are still out there, but never the less as I'm still around, and still when the mood strikes- making things, then you can't totally count me out just yet.

It's that time of year. The snow has fallen and it's dark around... 4:30? Yes, that's about right. So it's time to make dinner, get the kids tucked into their beds, and come into the studio for a little fun. Last night was the first of many to come, when I made one bear.  One bear. That's it, but compared to what I've been doing with the Polka Dot Club, which is so similar but so different, making a very little bear feels all new. I'm excited about things to come. I hope you are too.
