progress...

Tomorrow is the big day... the truck arrives. Jay, a few friends, and I will move all the boxes, bags, and poorly packed piles, and bring it all into the new studio. It feels like a big shift and I'm not sure if I can blame it on the gray weather or the last three exhausting weeks of construction and packing but I'm feeling a little melancholy about leaving this space. It's so large and bright, and frankly a space where I can spend uninterrupted hours. Ahhh, welcome change. Right?!

  1. I think you will enjoy being home, just as you were when you first started your business. It will be so fun to see photos of you in your beautiful new studio. You seem to always make the best of the rooms you have.
Take care and enjoy the journey.
    Hugs,
    Karen

  2. i can understand how you are feeling. i really liked this studio you had!!! but you are experiencing lots of changes for you personally with becoming a new mom soon, as a family unit with Jay, changes on the business side and leaving a place you came to love to going back home to work. Just take it in stride. we don't always like the choices we have to make, but in the end we all are stronger for it. i am sure you will come to love your new studio as well. heck....doing laundry at home while working is a plus in my book instead of coming home later to get that done!!

  6. There are lots of changes in your life right now. But, they are all exciting and you have so much to look forward, too. I can understand feeling nostalgic though--leaving such a great space. But your "new digs" will become a great space, too, and SO convenient. Wishing you the happiest of times in the new studio space--it is really very attractive!

  7. NE will miss you but there are great advantages to having a studio at home!!!! it's harder to keep the creep of materials into the living space, but it's a lot easier to switch gears quickly when the need arises....
