Poor old boy. I wish I could say this was a before and after- but this little bear, Kelsey was beyond repair when he made his way into the studio. A curious pup with good taste
snatched him off a shelf and had a
hay day. I would have been able to just replace his head and stitch up his arm, but he was made from hand dyed mohair and I didn't have any more of that dye lot left... So I started from scratch. Now Fido- leave this new little brother alone.
Oh!poor bear!!!
ReplyDeleteOh poor little guy. i had a dog that got to one of my bears foot before so i put socks on him.:)
ReplyDeleteHA! So good to hear that you didn't hate the poor pup who got carried away.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a wonderful attitdue towards life. Ahhh...to be young and full of ambition!
Thanks for your posts!
oh wow. what a story. love the sweet brother. beautiful. :::
ReplyDeleteOh God I just had a near miss with a mouse you made me several years aog . He sits in a little bird nest and watches me create I just love him. A few days ago he fell off the self and before I could grab him Scooty took off with the little guy . I was panicked but got him back with no damage done. Scooty loves to eat my paper clay stuff. He has destroyed far more then I care to count . Poor little bear!!!
ReplyDeleteAww.... sorry to see your beautiful work destroyed like that :( BUT I have two dogs (BIG dogs) and they are joy in my life even when they are bad. Can you post a picture of Fido? (maybe you have in the past and I missed it....I'm just curious)
ReplyDeleteI used to have a dog and she was known to get into her fair share of trouble... but she was very old and died last year. I really miss her! Someday we'll get another, but for now we're a dog free house... this mishap happened to one of my customers. She wrote to me and I was happy to help!
ReplyDeleteOh no! Sweet little thing...a cloth band aid and a new contrasting color head could make him new again! I hate to see your beautiful work go to waste. The little brother is adorable!!! :)
